Air Marshal Pradeep Naik takes over as new IAF chief
Air Chief Marshal Pradeep Vasant Naik has taken took over as the new Chief of the Air Staff in New Delhi on Sunday. He is the 19th Indian Air Chief. He took over the charge from Air Chief Marshal F H Major, who demitted office on Sunday.
The change of guard ceremony held in Air Headquarters was attended by all the Air Officers Commanding-in-Chief of the seven Commands of the IAF and Principal Staff Officers. Air Chief Marshal Naik was born on 22nd of July, 1949 and was commissioned into the IAF on 21st June, 1969 as a Fighter Pilot.
