AAI Pays Dividend of Rs.142.50 Crores for 2009-10

A Miniratna PSU of government of India - The Airports Authority of India (AAI), on Tuesday presented a cheque of Final Dividend of Rs.142.50 crores to the Government.

The Minister of Civil Aviation, Praful Patel received the cheque on behalf of the Government of India.

For the financial year 2009-10, AAI earned a revenue of Rs.4615 crores as against Rs.4186 croes in 2008-09. The profit before tax in 2009-10 was Rs.1228 crores as against Rs.1116 croes the previous year, the profit after tax was Rs.712 crores in 2009-10 as against Rs.687 crores in 2008-09.

AAI paid Rs.137.40 crores as dividend to the Government of India in 2008-09 and this year the dividend paid this year has gone up to Rs.142.50 crores.

In the process of modernising its airport terminal, passenger facilities and Air Traffic and Navigational Aids, AAI spent a sum of Rs.2743 crores in 2009-10 - the highest capital expenditure incurred by AAI so far. AAI’s Capital Expenditure was Rs.2548 crores in 2008-09.
