|
The Joint Parliamentary Committee, JPC, probing the 2G spectrum allocation scam, on Thursday continued questioning former Telecom Secretary A V Gokak who had served during the initial years of the United Front government. He was questioned about the telecom policy being pursued by the then government with regard to cellular operators.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi, JPC chairman P C Chacko said that some members also demanded that all former finance ministers and former finance secretary D Subbarao, who is currently the RBI governor, should be summoned to JPC for questioning.
The next meeting of the JPC will be held on 2nd and 3rd of next month. The JPC is examining India's telecom pricing policy from 1998 to 2008.
