155 deaths so far due to Swine Flu

The government has said that so far 155 patients have died of Swine Flu in the country. Maharashtra is worst affected with the disease with 75 deaths so far due to H1N1 virus. India’s IT state Karnataka has reported 49 deaths due to Swine Flu.

Union Health Ministry has said that total 27633 persons have been tested for Influenza A H1N1 in various Government and private Laboratories across the country and roughly 21 per cent 5796 of them have been found positive.

Government said that 187 new cases were reported on Friday. And out of total 187 cases only one is imported and rest are indigenous.

Health official said one death has been reported on Friday in Faridabad, Haryana.

As per the government record 38, 683 passengers have been screened at the Airports till September 10, 2009.
