President, VP, Nepal PM greet PM Modi on on his 66th birthday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted today by President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Hamid Ansari on his 66th birthday.

Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is on a visit to India, also greeted Mr. Modi over phone. Chief Justice of India T S Thakur personally met the Prime Minister at Raj Bhawan in Gandhinagar to greet him.

Prominent among others who greeted Mr. Modi include BJP President Amit Shah, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, M Venkaiah Naidu, Rajyavardhan Rathore and Jitendra Singh.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa and Baloch leader A K Bugti also greeted the Prime Minister on the occasion.

Mr. Modi expressed gratitude to all those who wished him on his birthday.

Earlier, the Prime Minister visited his mother Hiraba and took her blessings. Mr. Modi reached the residence of his brother Pankaj Modi in Raysan area of Gandhinagar where his 97-year old mother is staying.

The BJP is celebrating Mr Modi’s birthday as Sewa Divas today. Party leaders and workers across the country are holding events of social service on the occasion. BJP President Amit Shah will take part in a cleanliness drive in Telangana to mark the day.

Union Ministers and party MPs will also travel to different parts of the country and spend time with the poor and underprivileged sections of the society.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has also wished the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday.
